Experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon for independent first opinion practice.

The Pet Health Partnership is an independent small animal veterinary practice based in Dorset. We have two branches; our main site in Lytchett Minster and our branch in Wareham. 

Our entire team had a role in designing the Lytchett site which we moved in to July 2025.

PHP has been part of the community for 35 years. We have 5 vets across both sites with no one working more than a 32 hour week. No OOH and only 1 Saturday morning in 5. We close at 12.00 on a Saturday so everyone is home by lunchtime.

We have a strong and committed client base and we are growing! Team is everything to us and we see our clients as part of that team.

We are looking to take on an experienced vet, preferably full time (4 day week) but could also take on part time vets. We encourage clinical autonomy and individual client based decision making. Salary expectations around £65,000 FTE, dependant on how experienced you are.

We fund and encourage CPD without financial cap. If you believe it will help you develop and contribute to the practice, we will support you. We pay your fees, offer generous holiday and staff discounts.

Our vets and nurses have monthly meetings to discuss cases, new products and well, anything you think needs talking about. Everyones opinion is valued and listened to. If you have an idea, we will try it out! 

We also love to share knowledge. Through our blogs, client evenings, training SVN’s and new grad vets.

We are cat friendly (silver), dog friendly and a Chicken Vet practice and we take these accolades very seriously. 

We are incredibly lucky to be in Dorset. Schools are great, so many outdoor life opportunities, whilst being just up the road from Bournemouth and a train trip to London. We are very happy to help you move if you need us to.
