Nervous Dogs

Supporting Anxious Dogs - Dog Friendly Clinic LogoWe appreciate that vet visits will always be an event that causes most dogs a certain level of anxiety or stress. They can't comprehend the reason for their visit like we can, no matter how hard we try to reassure them.

We are extremely proud to be a Dog Friendly accredited Clinic. This means that we have provided evidence that we follow precise guidance for many things in our practice to try to ease some of the stresses they may be faced with during their appointment or hospitalisation.

For example, in our dog waiting area you will find pheromone sprays which send out chemical messages to create a calming environment. We also have yellow ‘nervous’ bandanas which are available for clients to use during their visit. These tell our staff and other clients that your dog needs a little more space.

If your dog is particularly anxious, please let us know prior to your appointment so that we can accommodate your dog’s needs.
