Kennel Assistant / Apprentice Student Vet Nurse

A rare opportunity to join our amazing team of Veterinary nurses in an apprentice position.

We are looking to expand our team of nurses by taking on an apprentice to train towards an RVN qualification.

This is a full time position based mostly in our Upton branch. 

We are a super friendly and supportive practice, who believe in the skills of our staff in order to provide the absolute best care to our patients and our clients. 

You need to be calm, compassionate and a team player, with an excellent ability to communicate to your colleagues and our clients. You need to be passionate about a career in Veterinary nursing. 

We are proud to be an independent practice and proud to train Veterinary nurses to the highest possible standard. We are an incredibly supportive team, who value everyone’s ideas and opinions and hold regular nurses meetings and in-house training.

We have lots of “kit” including a comprehensive Idexx lab, digital x-ray, ultrasound, multipara meter monitoring

2 x PT or 1 x FT RVN required for busy, expanding practice

We are very excited to be expanding our nursing team, providing 2 opportunities to join us. 

We are looking for either a full time or part time RVN. The role will be as support to our Lead nurse at Upton, with increasing responsibility for our students and within our nursing team. 

We are also looking for a full time end of 2nd year or newly qualified SVN/ RVN

We are a proudly independent practice, with branches in both Upton and Wareham. We believe in investing in the skills of our staff, through excellent support of CPD choices and personal interests. As a training practice our clinical standards are extremely high. We are a super friendly and supportive team. We have an up to date and comprehensive Idexx lab and clinical equipment, including multi-parameter monitoring. No OOH, 1 in 5 Saturday mornings.

Our clients are lovely! They are bonded and invested in the care of their animals and looking after and supporting them is a priority for all our staff.

Our current team is driven and ambitious and always looking to do better for our patients. Regular nurse meetings are held where everyone’s opinion and ideas are listened to, discussed and given a go.
